Internship Transformational Experience MM 494A is the department’s traditional required internship course. This semester the MM Department is offering an experimental WTE component as part of the traditional internship experience. The WTE component includes researching and writing a report on the professional responsibilities, including developing and exercising critical thinking skills, identifying and reflecting on social responsibilities and judgment needed to be an effective practitioner in his/her area of expertise. Students will present their papers in approved professional and/or academic venues, including local and regional conferences as well as in a campus-based forum. Register for MM 494A; Contact inernship coordinator, for mentoring direction; Declare WTE program using WTE forms found under the Student Tab in MyWashburn.

*If you have a WTE that you wish to pursue as your own individual project, please select and contact a potential faculty mentor to discuss your idea. Once you have identified a mentor and secured his/her agreement to supervise your WTE, declare your WTE program so it can be reviewed and approved as soon as possible by the university’s WTE committee.
