WUCT Cable TV News
WUCT News is Washburn's live, student-produced news show. The show covers both national and local news, as well as current events at Washburn. There are also segments dedicated to weather and sports. Students involved are lucky to get the real-life experience of working on a live cast since Washburn is the only university in the state that does a live news show. Students do everything for the show, including producing, reporting, writing scripts, making graphics, directing, and studio production. Doing this live show gives students a hands-on experience that may be stressful , but the news show is a great learning experience and is lots of fun! All students are welcome to help with the show, so contact Dr. Charles Cranston at ude.nrubhsaw|notsnarc.selrahc#ude.nrubhsaw|notsnarc.selrahc for information.
